Caso and Michael T. Hall, and their newly formed media production company, Shoot the Catfish Productions, LLC (STC). The announcement was made today by CMG Holdings, Inc. Chairman and CEO Alan Morell who will be the lead Agent and Charles Martin, Creative Management Group Inc. Senior Vice President of Broadcast, who will be the day to day Managing Agent on the account. Said Mr. Morell, “Laurence and Michael are highly regarded and industry respected Executive Producers with a proven track record, who have a unique understanding of what is the future of network and internet programming with a myriad of appealing properties”.
In forming Shoot the Catfish Productions, LLC, Caso and Hall combine their experience of over 2,000 episodes of network story telling and production. They specialize in building relationships with creative writers, producers, talent and advertisers to deliver quality to targeted audiences. With over 20 projects in active development, their interests run the full gamut from children’s animation and documentaries to music and reality. Shoot the Catfish Productions projects now in pre-production are: UNSEEN HENSON: FROM THE MUPPET VAULTS; SALSA MUSIC: I LIKE IT LIKE THAT; and PHILADELPHIA: AT THE HOP, three different PBS specials scheduled to air in 2010.

Laurence A. Caso
Laurence A. Caso recently completed six years as Executive Vice President of Development & Production at Red Post Productions/AVMG, Inc. He was the Senior Producer and writer of a documentary, INSIDE BAGHDAD, which ran on The History Channel and the Food Network's FOOD SECRETS OF COUNTRY MUSIC STARS. He also wrote and produced SURGEONS OF HOPE, which received the Video Excellence Award from the prestigious healthcare marketing group, RX Club. In new media, he co-wrote and produced a series of videos for JibJab Media starring comedienne Fran Capo, the Guinness Book’s “World’s Fastest Talking Female.”
Mr. Caso began his television career at CBS in Los Angeles, where he worked on the development of comedy and drama series (WKRP IN CINCINNATI, ALICE, WHITE SHADOW). In New York, he held positions as VP of Daytime Programs (dramatic serials and game shows), and as Director of Special Programs: animation (PEANUTS, GARFIELD), documentaries (THE BODY HUMAN), variety (Johnny Cash, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers, Lily Tomlin, Crystal Gayle, etc.), awards shows (GRAMMYS, TONYS, COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION AWARDS, KENNEDY CENTER HONORS), parades (COTTON BOWL, ROSE BOWL) movies & mini-series. He was also the VP of Programs for the start-up of the Disney Channel. Procter & Gamble hired him as Executive Producer of AS THE WORLD TURNS. While he produced over 1,700 episodes of that CBS serial, the program received numerous awards, including the Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Drama Series, and the Editors Award for Lifetime Achievement from “Soap Opera Digest.” Subsequently, he produced two seasons of the reality parenting series, DONNA’S DAY for the Jim Henson Company, which ran on the Hallmark Channel. That series was cited by the Associated Press on its annual “Ten Best Shows on Television” list.
Michael T. Hall
Michael Hall worked as a field producer on both seasons of the highly touted Nickelodeon series Let’s Just Play. This docu-reality series, which Nickelodeon produced with an alliance between the American Heart Association and The Clinton Foundation, was credited with changing the way kids and families view fitness and health. He joined Nickelodeon Networks in 2001 and worked as a writer and associate producer on a variety of series including Wildcard on Nick GAS, and a daily live show that featured celebrities and sketch comedy entitled, U Pick Live. During a five-year stay in Orlando, Florida he served on the production staff for such other television companies as Animal Planet, Fox, Disney, and Jim Henson Television. He also was a segment producer for A&E Networks where he organized, structured, and implemented a new interactive internet game utilizing clips from the series Paranormal State.
